Getting Started:
If you are an Apple Watch user, you can import your activity data into My Viva Plan through Apple Health.
To link your accounts, you will need to have the My Viva Plan mobile app installed. If you do not have the My Viva Plan mobile app installed, download it from the App Store.
Apple has not yet enabled Apple Health for iPad, so connecting with Apple Health is currently only available for iPhone users.
Connecting Your Apple Health / Apple Watch to My Viva Plan
To connect Apple Health with My Viva account:
Open My Viva Plan
Select Side Menu
Select My Account
Go to Settings
Connect Wearable and Health Devices and choose Apple Health
Ensure the correct permissions are toggled on in Apple Health. You can choose to Turn All Categories On or manually select what data My Viva Plan enters into Apple Health. Select Allow in the top right-hand corner to save permissions.
Data My Viva Plan Reads:
Activity & Activity minutes
Waterlogs
Sleep
Steps
Weight
Heart Rate
Blood Pressure
Blood Sugar
Sleep
To import your sleep data - select Import Sleep.
If you use a third-party app to track your sleep data in Apple Health, you will need to change your third-party app permissions to read only, so sleep data from the third-party app isn't exported back to Apple Health giving you inaccurate data.
Follow these steps:
Open the Apple Health app
Select on Sharing
Select on Apps and Services
Select on [name of third-party app]
Toggle off all permissions under ALLOW [name of third-party app] TO WRITE
Troubleshooting
If your Apple Health data has stopped exporting into My Viva Plan, troubleshoot the issue by following these steps:
Uninstall and reinstall the My Viva Plan app, then reconnect to Apple Health
To uninstall the app hold your finger on the My Viva Plan app until a menu appears, then select ‘Delete App’. (Not to worry! None of your data will be lost when you uninstall the app.)
Reinstall the app from the App Store and reconnect your My Viva account to Apple Health following the process here.
