4 Quick Steps to Join a Webcast in Microsoft Teams
Follow the steps below to join a webcast on Microsoft Teams - no downloads needed.
Step 1 : Click the join link
Open the meeting invite in your email inbox and select the webcast link to join the meeting.
Note: If you are accessing the webcast on a mobile device, the Microsoft Teams app is required. You can download the Microsoft Teams app via the App Store on Apple devices or the Play Store on Android devices.
Step 2 : Choose how to join
After clicking the webcast link, a browser window will open and take you to a landing page where you will be presented with two options:
1) join on the Teams app or
2) join on a web browser. instead.
Click on the Continue on this browser option to proceed with joining on the web, or tap Join on the Teams app from a mobile device.
Note: If you do not have the app downloaded on your mobile device, selecting this option will take you to the app store where you can download the app. Once the app is downloaded, tap the meeting link again and the webcast will open in the Teams app.
Step 3 : Allow access
You can join Teams for web on using either Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome. You may be prompted to give Teams access to your mic and camera. When you select Allow, you can always turn off your mic and camera once you join the meeting. Note: attendees' mics and cameras will usually be automatically disabled for webcasts.
Step 4 : Join the webcast
Once you've configured your settings, simply click the Join now button to join the webcast.
